Holy is the LORD of Hosts!
The whole earth is full of his glory!
At the entrance of the tabernacle they fell
face downward before the LORD;
and the glory of Jehovah appeared to them!
He is good!
His loving-kindness lasts forever!
The glory of the LORD coming as a bright cloud
filled the temple!
The heavens are telling the glory of God;
They are a marvelous display of his craftsmanship!!!
Day and night they keep telling about God…
Praise his glory and his strength
Praise him for his majestic glory,
The glory of his name!!!
The voice of the LORD echoes from the clouds.
The God of glory thunders through the skies.
So powerful is his voice,
So full of majesty!
God's glory not only reflects Him but is part of who He is!! The hebrew word for glory is "kavodh" meaning weight, honor, esteem. The word kavodh comes from another one "kavedh" which means to be renowned, to show oneself great or mighty. In other words God's glory is the way He makes Himself known or shows Himself mighty.
ReplyDeleteGod wants to reveal Himself to humans. Each way He accomplishes this divine task is His glory. God's glory is how He shows who He is.
