Trust in the LORD your GOD

The Wise man built his house upon the rock
and when the storm came along,
 He was safe.

He was able to withstand the strong
winds and the heavy rains and floods.

Similarly we can build our lives upon the rock
who is Jesus Christ, God´s Son,
 Blessed Messiah.

 He is the Corner Stone
upon which to build his Church, his Body.
 He is the Head.
All authority has been given to Christ Jesus,
 Amen.

Blossom and Grow

They grow in the sunshine
 brightening up my window sill,
my life and my heart.

Take a little time to tend them
and water them during the week.

 Last time I watered them
I had my little granddaughter in my arms.
 I showed her their beauty
 and taught her their names.
She gifted me with smiles.

Gardening nourishes our souls.
Take care of nature and blossom.
 Have a good day!

People Need the Lord

We need to seek the Lord.
We can open our hearts to him in prayer.
We will love him with all our souls,
minds and strength and we will seek his Kingdom first.

To love him is to obey him.
To live under his authority.
To search Scriptures and obey his recommendations.
If we do love him first and foremost,
 everything else will be added.

Praises to God almighty
for his loving kindness and mercy.
In Jesus.
Amen.

Faithful Forever

Blessed are those
whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord their God.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them.
He remains faithful forever.

He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
The Lord gives sight to the blind.

The Lord lifts those who are bowed down,
The Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but frustrates the ways of the wicked.

Psalms 146: 5 to 9

Rest in My Presence

Winter holidays have come round once more
to the Southern corner of America.
God is always inviting us to rest in his presence,
in his perfect timing,
in his strength.

Isaiah 30:15
"In returning to me and resting you will be saved;
in quietness and trust shall be your strength".

God is calling us to trust him,
to lean on his everlasting arms.

Sixteen months ago my beloved Father
was awaiting his call to heaven
at a very good Clinic.
We did not know when it would be,
but it was imminent.

His digestive system did not function any more.
He had cancer, a pancreatic tumor
that could not be operated
'cause it was hugging a main artery.

He was very slim
and he wanted to be with us
as much as possible
before saying good-byes.

I would come visit with him every other day.
Then I had to go back to school to teach my classes.

As I was riding my car,
leaving the Clinic behind,
my heart was aching.
I did not know how long he would be with us.
Then God spoke to me:
"Your daddy's times are in my hands".

So as I was able to trust God
with my Dad's precious life,
I found rest.

I could not change my circumstances,
nor the fact that Dad was leaving us soon,
but I could rest in God's love and care over us.

"Father, we thank you for your loving care
over each one of your children today;
We come to you.
We trust you in all our circumstances.
We find strength in your presence.
Amen".

Be of Good Courage

May God bless you today!!
May you find rest from all your duties.
God wants his loved ones to have their proper rest.
As the day's work comes to an end
and its time to go home,
Be of good courage!
Relax in God;
Wait on Him
and He will strengthen your heart!

Courage

We are all tested day by day as we face difficulties.
We must never give up on our ideals.
Think uplifting thoughts.
Courage is not simply one of the virtues,
but the form of every virtue at the testing point.
Do good.
Do your best.
Do no harm.
Do not give up!
