Jesus Calms the Storm

Bible Story from Mark 4: 35-41

One evening Jesus said to his apostles, ‘Let us sail to the other side of the lake’.
When their boat was out on the water, a storm arose. Winds blew and waves beat against the sides of the little vessel. But Jesus had fallen asleep.

The apostles woke him and cried, “Master, save us or we shall drown!” And Jesus stood and said to the sea, “Peace. Be still.” At once the winds fell and the sea grew calm. And Jesus asked the apostles, “Why were you afraid?” And they said to one another, “Who is this Jesus that even the wind and the waves obey him?”

Do a collage activity with your children picturing Jesus in the boat as he raised his hands to heaven and commands the winds and the sea to be still.

He also says to us today: “Be still and know that I am God”!!

Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for Jesus!! Thank you that all authority has been given unto Him!!
Thank you that in his name you can still calm the storms!! We love you for sending Jesus to us!! Jesus our beloved Savior!!

Blessed be your mighty name!!
Amen

Fixing our eyes on Jesus

Hebrews 12: 1, 2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Colossians 2: 6-7

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Trust and thankfulness will get us safely through all situations. Keeping our eyes on Jesus.

God bless you dearly,
Lilian

Hope, Faith and Love

Ruth followed Naomi,
her Mother in law;
 believing in God
 her faith was greatly rewarded.

 God is alive.
He is honored by our faith in Him.
 He loves families.
He is Jehova Jireh our provider.

Wherever you are...
May God guide you,
Wherever you go...
May He go with you.

Whatever you do...
May He be your light.
At all times...
May God bless you.
Amen.

A Divine Appointment

The Christian life is a walk with Jesus.
Mary sat at his feet while listening attentively to all Jesus was teaching. She adopted a student's attitude towards her beloved Raboni.

Martha instead was preoccupied with dinner preparations and needed help. Much as we worry about our many responsibilities and wish for others to help us. So Jesus tells her this and then adds that Mary has chosen the best part.

So I say that enjoying Jesus' presence and listening closely to his words is what is most important. We must not miss this divine appointment. Only then we will be able to do everything in God's strength and love.

The LORD keeps us Safe

I go to bed
 and sleep in peace.
Lord, you are the one
 who keeps me safe.
Psalm 4:8

Trusting God is
 deeply related
 to knowing him
 and believing his Word.

 The angel of the LORD
 camps around us
 when we fear God.

 This fear means
 deep respect
 and profound love.

 Perfect love casts out fear.
There is no room for doubting.
 His plans and thoughts
 are always for our good.

 We can trust him always,
 even when walking
 through the valley of sorrow
 and pain.

His love and comfort
 will become more real.

 Thank you, Immanuel.
 Thank you, heavenly Father.
We trust you more than ever.
 We fear no evil.

Your Love is amazing,
 steady and unchanging!!

Mighty is Your Name

Father, Mighty is your name
Like the roar of  waterfalls!
Like a tender Parent bending
Down to comfort his Child!

There is none like You
Mighty King and Warrior
Yet the lover of our souls
Who believes in each one of us!

How can we say thanks?
How can we pray and intercede?
When we know you are here with us
Great I am, Holy Spirit, Mighty God!

The Sun was shining

As I arrived to Check on Year 6 this morning
I was met by this sweet dove
 perching on the tree
unto the balcony.

The students were painting
as they were preparing projects according
 to their Science research.

She did not mind their chattering
 but seemed to enjoy it
as the sun warmed us all!
